Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Jaguar Land Rover
(UK) (JLR) has paused vehicle shipments from its facilities in the UK to the US
to work out new trading terms amid recent changes in the tariff structure.
Recently, JLR has registered 1.1% rise in Wholesale volumes
of 111,413 units in the fourth quarter of FY25 (excluding the Chery Jaguar Land
Rover China JV) as compared to the same quarter a year ago and up 6.7% compared
to the prior quarter ended December 31, 2024. Compared to the prior year,
wholesale volumes for the fourth quarter were higher in North America (14.4%)
and Europe (10.9%).
Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through
subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK,
South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land
Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
